I’m shifting focus a little bit from found representations of nature into something a little more constructed or seen by me. So, for instance, in this image, I took a photograph of Ansel Adams’ and put it into the picascii.com ascii generator. In the quarter below, while there is a representation of a mountain in it, I’m much more interested in the way in which the sheets mimic the shape of a mountain from an aerial view. And the Coors cans are arranged to look like a mountain range. I’m not sure if I’ll drop intentional representations of nature or not but it seems like my creations are more interesting and more fun.
